Welcome to The Modern Bugdet. The premise of this blog is to blog about the things I learn going through the rollercoaster life of managing money. I've always been a shopper that searches for the best deals, researching purchases and finding ways to save money. I lost my job last September in 2009 and was out of work for almost 10 months. To say the least is was terrifying but it really was a change for the better. Life does work in mysterious ways. But what I do know now more than ever is that it's a very good idea to have a savings account in case of an emergency. Shop for the best possible prices and simply being able to balance your budget.
In the past couple years we have gone through very tough financial times and I think it has woken alot of people up.
