Extreme Couponing : TLC

Check this out! I just saw a preview of this to air on TLC:
Americans throw away $57 billion worth of coupons every year. But for savvy savers, coupons can mean the difference between saving and spending thousands of dollars. On Wednesday, December 29 at 8 PM ET/PT, TLC will introduce four of the country's most coupon-obsessed savers who will do anything for a deal. Their game is simple - get as MUCH as possible for as LITTLE as possible.  But these extreme couponers aren't just looking to save a few dollars here and there.  Instead, they're looking to cash in on some serious savings and they're doing it by any means necessary - dumpster diving for coupons, charting weekly store circulars, creating elaborate math formulas and stocking up on as many products as possible. With over 367 billion coupons printed each year, the addictive art of smart
This is amazing to me... I'm fascinated by this.  And pretty interested in how in the world they are saving so much.  Hopefully we can all learn a few things.

{Make Money} Sell on eBay and De-Clutter

How about doing two things on your to-do list you've been wanting to accomplish for a while now:

  1. Make some extra cash
  2. De-clutter your home or apartment
I personally just started selling on eBay to de-clutter my DVD collection and book collection.  I've already sold 2 DVDs and 1 book, not bad for only a few weeks.  Just think of the possibilities!  I can bet there are items in your closet still with the tags on it and way too late to return for a refund.  Why not sell them and make some extra money!  Sell DVDs, books, clothing, shoes, toys, the possibilities are endless.

Tips
  1. Make sure you take clear photos of your items.
  2. Be honest and let me people know if the item is new, like new, used etc.  There is no point in making your product sound better when you've upset a customer and receive a bad rating.  Keep it simple and honest.
Books
Looking to make it into a business?  I think it's a great idea and have toyed with the idea myself.  I haven't found that niche yet but I'm sure you folks have tons of ideas that are just waiting to be harnessed.  Do you love antiques or collectibles?  Does you garage resembles a storage locker and is begging to be released?  We've all heard "One persons junk is anothers treasure"... and you could be making money doing it.  Why not, whether you make $20 or a couple hundred, it's an adventure all the same.

Save Money with Magazine Subscriptions

Are you like me and love to purchase the weekly or monthly glossies and simply can't get enough!  I know that I'm guilty at buying magazines of all kinds.  From Marie Claire , Us Weekly, Dwell, InStyle... I could go on, you get my drift.

Why not save money!!! Here are some magazine subscriptions that are such a great deal!  Do the math, from what you pay per month to the price of the subscription, the savings are so worth it!

For example, let's say you purchase a magazine at $4.00 per month x 12 months = $48.00 per year.  When you can purchase it for let's say $10.00 or $20.00 per year.

Bonus: You'll NEVER miss an issue and it's delivered to your door.  Talk about service.
